1975 MGB GT Jubilee Information
Autodynamics is pleased to offer this unique one of 750 MGB GT Jubilee 50th Anniversary Cars for sale. Never sold in the US as 1974 was the last year of sales for GT model. There are 5 known examples in total in the US, and none have been offered from collections, in over 10 years.
When originally sold in the UK, each car had a number assigned and a dash plaque provided to the dealer to engrave with the number and the new owners name. Most original plaques never got issued and this Jubilee has plaque number 300 as issued.
The restoration took over 3 years and required the elimination of extensive rust from its life in the UK. Inner and outer rockers panels, inner rear fender wells, rear wings, boot floor and rusted frame areas were removed and replaced with new Heritage panels from England. The 50th Anniversary mylar striping was obtained from England after certification that this BGT was a genuine Jubilee model.
The 1800 CC engine and overdrive transmission were rebuilt with a professionally rebuilt overdrive unit. A new cloth covered wiring harness is installed with the detail of original wiring part numbers and inspection labels provided. The proper alloy center wheels have been painted the Gold and Black. These wheels are very rare as they are the same as provided on Factory MGB GT V8. No details have been left out. The BGT comes with a rare WEBSCO Roof for installation by the new owner.
This concours restoration was voted First in Class at the 2021 MGB National Convention in Atlantic City.
Owning a price of British Car History has always been my goal on the cars I restore. I have 6 MGs from a 36 PB, 74 BGT V8, and a 69 MGC GT also for sale. There are too many cars and no time to drive them.
